Alyssa Cooper, a licensed Naturopathic Doctor (ND), was born and raised on the west coast of Florida immersed in the outdoors. Growing up in an area where naturopathic medicine is limited, she first learned about it on a life-changing trip to India. She graduated from the University of South Florida with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with minors in Chemistry and Nutrition. She went on to study Naturopathic Medicine at the National University of Natural Medicine (NUNM) in Portland, Oregon, where she graduated with her Doctorate in Naturopathic Medicine. While at NUNM, Dr. Cooper focused her studies on women’s health and received additional training in fertility, pelvic floor health and pediatrics. She completed a 2-year residency in primary care & endocrinology at Living Wellness Medical Center.

*Each Living Wellness Medical Center associate provider is an independent contractor working collaboratively to provide complete wellness care for our patients.

I love so many things about being a naturopathic doctor. I love that I get ample time to spend with my patients, to connect with them and dive deep into their health concerns and health goals, and also that I connect the dots while still viewing the body as a whole.

Some of my favorite naturopathic therapeutics are herbs and lifestyle changes. I like to make sure that the foundations of health are met or addressed, so I make sure that sleep, stress management, nutrition, movement- all of those things are on board, and then go in a little bit more  deeper with some herbs and some nutrients.

I love to treat all things women’s health, so fertility, menstrual irregularities, gut health, thyroid health, you name it. I also have a special interest in hypermobility and the associated things that come along with hypermobility, such as POTS and MCAS, and sibo.

Dr. Cooper loves to work with patients of all genders & ages.
